30 days. $2,000 in your pocket. $5,500 owed to a man who does not do payment plans.

TrapWars is a turn-based trading game that runs on a Palm Pilot that never existed. Eight corners of New York, each with its own prices and its own way of going wrong. Buy low, sell high, and be somewhere else by the time anyone notices.

Read the market, not the dice. Prices move to rhythms you can learn, buried in enough noise to keep you honest. Two players can stare at the same numbers and only one of them knows what they mean.

The game grows as you do. You start with three buttons: Buy, Sell and Travel. Keep earning and it keeps handing you more to think about. How much of it you ever get to see is up to you.

Heat is the clock behind the clock. The days run down whether you are ready or not, and the more you move, the more interest you attract. Sooner or later something turns the corner ahead of you, and then it is turn-based and entirely unsentimental.

Finish rich and take your place on the live leaderboard. Finish the other way and take your place in the graveyard, next to everyone who mistimed exactly one trade.

Many hidden easter eggs to explore.

No install, no account, no ads. Works on a phone.

Still in development, and still being tuned. If something feels off, the comments are open.

Fiction, obviously. It is a spreadsheet with a body count.
